The Will of God

The Will of God

It is a very good thing to want to fulfill God's will. To actually DO it requires that we think like Jesus did when He was on the earth:

"Your kingdom come! Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven!"
(Matthew 6:10)

There are some conflicting doctrines in church history which can cause Christian believers real frustration and thereby paralyze our effectiveness in prayer. Until we are sure that God wants to save our loved ones, we do not, cannot, have faith to pray and believe that God will do it!

Thus blinded, the biblical understanding of warfare between light and darkness; angels and demons, faith and doubt and unbelief, is hidden from us.

In The Revelation to John, Jesus (now ascended) speaks to the seven Asian churches about the blessings reserved for the overcomer:
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Lord! Open our ears to hear Your voice, in Jesus mighty Name, amen! Then open our eyes to see and understand your truth.

There is a growing understanding among praying Christians that demonic spirits do indeed limit our reception of God's intended blessings for us. We are in a war that rages in the spiritual realm, and because we usually cannot see our enemy, we are sleeping while the battle rages. However, when we receive "eyes to see" and "ears to hear", we begin to understand. Then, and only then will we pray effectively. Today, apostles and prophets are being sent to us for this purpose.

The Apostle Paul wrote from divine revelation in Ephesians, chapter three, verses 8-21:

To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;

so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.

 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,

that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;

and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Let us thoroughly chew and digest these truths until we, like an airliner, break through the clouds of doubt and unbelief to the heavenly blue and light-filled sky of God's truth, and thus understand His will for us, and for those we love!
