PREPAREDNESS EXERCISE ?

 

    (From underwear, to the U.S. Constitution)

 

 

Well, T H A T was interesting!

 

Our sleep this night was rudely interrupted when less than an hour ago the building fire alarms began to go off.

 

Later, we were told that a man on the second floor of the senior apartment community was found by a responding fireman, wandering the hall and dressed only in his underwear. He said he had become confused, and 'hit the fire alarm'.

 

When the lady first heard the dreadful sound filling her apartment, she quickly arose and began to mentally review her exit-plan as she dressed, then topped off her ensemble with her warmest coat. There is still snow on the ground and temperatures during the day have been below freezing.

 

For several years she'd been reading, taking heed, and preparing herself for such an emergency exit - should it become necessary. Her few precious possessions were quickly put into a backpack along with some personal items.

 

Several days ago out in Hollywood following the 'Oscar' awards telecast, pictures had appeared in the news of a man (backstage) dressed only in his underwear. He was 'making a statement'.

 

 

Living in the security of an apartment house with other seniors, we expect our life to be calm and quiet. People usually respect each other's privacy, without imposing on them.

 

Last night's episode reminds us that there can be unpleasant consequences for us all, when just one person becomes not only an annoyance, but a potential danger to many.

 

Today in the USA, we see or hear of people determined to force their agenda on others. Therefore, the peaceful welfare of ourselves, our families and communities requires this -- that we refuse to be intimidated. The U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights were carefully crafted and written to secure for our people the RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES which our Founders believed was our BIRTHRIGHT UNDER GOD.

 

Here is the structure to which we must return:

In each American home, there is a head of the household. There are rules of behavior that are taught, and (hopefully) modeled by a parent or parents. The parents are responsible for the teaching, discipline and safety of the children. The children are responsible to their parents, and as they enter adulthood, to GOD and to the civil authorities.

 

However, the American public school system has been perverted. Biblical religion and practice have been systematically removed from public education. In many local churches the biblical Truths are mostly negated, while 'social justice' is emphasised. Dangerous and destructive foreign influences, satanic in nature, have gradually taken over until it seems that without GOD's intervention, our nation will perish. 

 

The great warrior-general, Joshua, who was taught and mentored by the prophet Moses, faced a critical situation which required each person among the Children of Israel to make a decision. This is where the phrase, 'drawing a line in the sand' comes from.

 

Joshua said to the Children of Israel,

 

If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

(Joshua 24:15)

 

Joshua was successful because he was faithful to God.

 

We too shall succeed when we take our stand, refusing to be intimidated. We will know the presence of angels as we wrestle with the lies of satan, disguised as 'political correctness'. 

 

Look! There's the line in the sand!

 

Let us be strong, taking our stand for God and Liberty, then

step across that line to fight for the birthright of Freedom and right-relationships which the American Founding Fathers won

for us! Our childrens' and grandchildrens' future is in the balance!

 

 

WE THE PEOPLE of the United States,

in order to form a more perfect union,

 establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
