| Yes Virginia, and Everybody Else, There is a JESUS! |

One of the most famous, most reprinted newspaper editorials of all time was first published in the New York Sun in 1897. Eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon's letter to the newspaper asked this question:
Is there really a Santa Claus?
For background, here is a link to bring us up-to-speed.

Today we look back to Virginia O'Hanlon's question, and the editorial writer's answer.
Fast forward to today:
Now millions are asking the question of the ages --
Is there really a JESUS? and Am I a Sinner?
Yes, Virginia, and everybody else,
There IS a JESUS!
More importantly, there is THE JESUS -- the One described in the Holy Bible --
the "only-begotten Son of God."
He was born in Bethlehem when His earthly parents, Mary and Joseph, traveled to the town to be taxed by the Roman occupiers. His name, given by God to Mary and Joseph, means: The Salvation of God.
Here is how the Apostle Peter described Jesus when the Holy Spirit miraculously invaded the 120 men and women waiting, praying, worshipping in the upper room in Jerusalem.
"He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:11,12 (NASB)
If we build on another foundation, we build on lies.
When we focus on Santa Claus,
on christmas trees,
on mistletoe,
on December 25th,
even on the 3 wise men,
then we are caught in a spiderweb of deception and distraction.
But if we truly believe in the power of Jesus' Name and God's Covenant in His Blood, then we will obey Him.
This is the true purpose of our "free will". The choice is ours.
Let us think about that a while . . .
then make the leap into Eternal Life,
in JESUS CHRIST!
