Revelation of God's Ultimate Reward
for Those Who Accept
Jesus Christ as Their Lord and Savior
To the Body of Jesus Christ
To the Leadership in the Body of Jesus Christ
To the Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists,
Pastors and Teachers in the Body of Christ:
Those who "have things" claim that they are living in heaven on Earth -- that when they die that is the end to life's journey. These people put their unconditional trust in money and the material things they have collected since birth.
After the birth of an infant, it is wrapped in a blanket. That blanket is the beginning of the accumulation of stuff. The value of that stuff to the individual in his or her lifetime will determine whether Heaven or Hell will be their eternal destiny.
There are those who say that they are living in hell on Earth. That is impossible.
In Hell, there are three things you will NOT find:
1) a glass of cold water,
2) the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
3) and certainly not authentic and true disciples of Jesus Christ,
but you will find all three things on Earth. So from now on, don't believe the lie of the enemy (Satan). For readers who want to explore the Word of God about the place called Hell, please start with my earlier article:
The Eternal Punishment for Rejecting Christ.
This present lesson will concentrate on the study of Heaven.
The Bible describes Heaven as the place where all those who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will go for eternity.
That is, the reward of receiving eternal life, and to live with Jesus Christ forever.
The heart of the matter is:
What does Jesus Christ say about Heaven? He is God and Heaven is His home. There are all kinds of man-made heavens out there, attracting the gullible.
We need to know what Jesus Christ said.
Let us start our journey by going to St John the 14th chapter, verses 1 - 4.
Jesus said,
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."
Jesus is comforting the hearts of His disciples, telling them to believe in God and also in Him. Jesus tells His disciples to have faith in God, but that without believing in Jesus, their quest for eternal life is useless. He tells them that His Father's house (Heaven) has many mansions, and if it were not true He would have told them.
He promised that He was going to prepare a place for them in His Father's house (Heaven) and would come again and receive them to Himself, that where He is they may be also. He told them they knew where He was going, and they knew the way to get there.
Now, let's look more closely at St. John the 14th chapter, verses 1 through 4:
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Jesus is assuring His disciples that He has an eternal reward waiting for them in His Father's house (Heaven), because they have chosen to follow and obey His holy commandments. Secondly, He gave them the command to simply believe in God. Thirdly, He commanded them to believe in Him as their God.
Let not your heart be troubled
Jesus is comforting and assuring His disciples that He has an eternal reward waiting for them in His Father's house (Heaven), because they have chosen to follow and obey His commandments.
You believe in God, believe also in Me
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser . . . I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. (John 15:1,5-6)
Jesus proclaims that His Father is the vinedresser and He is the vine, and without Him, we as His disciples can do nothing.
It is time for the Church to declare it:
We cannot depend on human strengths or abilities to win souls and make disciples. We must seek strength and direction directly from our Lord Jesus Christ through constant and consistent prayer, studying the Word, fasting, and fellowshipping in small Bible study groups.
In My Father's house are many mansions
Jesus Christ told His disciples that life does not end when they die. There is a Heaven awaiting them with many mansions in His Father's house, that He is going to prepare for them. He assures them that eternal life is real and that He is the source of that eternal reward in Heaven.
If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Jesus Christ told His disciples that He would not lie to them -- that he was going to Heaven to prepare a place for them. He assured them that He was trustworthy and that eternal life was their destiny in Heaven forever.
"I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
Our Lord Jesus Christ explained what would transpire at His second coming. Jesus said,
"For as the lighting comes from the east, and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all of the tribes on earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:27-31)
Most importantly, Jesus described Heaven not only as a physical place, but emphasized that He will come again and receive us to Himself, and that where He is we will be also. As believers, we must realize that the physical place called Heaven is meaningless and useless without the presence of Jesus.
That is, where Jesus is, that is where Heaven is. That is why He said
"that where I am, there you may be also."
"And where I go you know, and the way you know."
The foundation of the Christian faith is rooted and grounded in the words our Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples in St. John, the 14th chapter, verses 5 through 6:
"Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Jesus Christ has said that He will show His elect where to go and that we will know the way. He is saying that it is not enough to just be where He is. When He has received us to Himself, he will teach us where to go and how to know His way for eternity.
These Scriptures prove that Heaven is real and that God is in total control of the finite and infinite spheres that exist in the Cosmos and beyond our human understanding of who God really is.
Consider the following evidence:
Everything in heaven and on earth belongs to the Lord.
"Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all."
(1 Chronicles 29:11)
God listens to us from heaven:
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
(2 Chronicles 7:14)
God created the heavens and the earth.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
(1 Chronicles 29:11)
The true "Elect", the believers in Jesus Christ, will have rewards waiting for them in Heaven:
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:11-12)
One day the Lord Jesus Christ will return to this Earth and the armies of Heaven will follow Him.
"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean." (Revelation 19:11-14)
The Holy Bible says:
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God." (Revelation 21:1-3)
Biblical truths:
Heaven is prepared for those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior.
Heaven is only a temporary holding place for God's "Elect" until God creates the massive city called the New Jerusalem.
Hell is prepared for those who reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Savior. It will be cast into the lake of fire.
There are two options on the table -- that is, if you accept Jesus Christ as your God, Lord, and personal Savior, you will inherit eternal life. If not, the lake of fire is your eternal destiny.
SO HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS!
The Holy Scriptures say,
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Our Lord Jesus loved the world so much that He died for the sins of mankind, so that none should perish but all should have everlasting life. God has given us the choice. Let all who read this testament choose life and not death.
I sincerely pray that all who read this article choose our Lord and Savior as their hope for eternal life in Heaven.
Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior and gain Heaven.
Heaven will be a temporary place for God's elect. Heaven is where Our Holy God lives and reigns as Lord of lords and King of kings.
For those who go to heaven, their final destination is what God's Word describes as a massive city known as the New Jerusalem.
I pray that you choose eternal life and escape God's wrath. He has told us that His mercy is greater than His judgment.
Please receive Jesus Christ now, confess your sins and be cleansed from them through the Blood shed by God's Lamb, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We want to rejoice with you in Heaven, and in the New Jerusalem!
