When an Enemy Dies

Early Morn, May 2, 2011
For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,
But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Or the LORD will see it and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from him.
Proverbs 24:16-18 (NASB)
Let us consider the example of David, whom King Saul pursued
for years. When at last Saul's evil weaknesses came full-circle,
and Saul and his sons were killed in battle -- David mourned.
What happens to a man when a wicked lie has consumed his life?
What happens to his family? -- the man was a Muslim, and the family is large.
What will happen to the thousands of warriors his organization has trained
to destroy those who don't believe his wicked lie and obey its demands?
What will happen to those whose leader ordered them into the operation
which took the wicked man's life.
They will have to face their own dilemma, because their leader's character
and legal legitimacy are in question.
There is only one remedy for them all.
It is the holy Blood of God's Son, Yeshua ha'Meshiach -- Jesus Christ.
America, let us speak to ourselves and to one another, the verses above
from the Book of Proverbs.
Then instead of cheering because of the man's violent death,
let us get down upon our faces and plead for mercy from the
Living God who holds each one of us accountable for our own sins.
He is pointing us to the Cross of His Son, where our debt was paid.
Truly, through the jihadist, satan's lie has poisoned millions of others,
and whole nations of men, women and children are in bondage.
Let us remember what the Master said:
"You shall love the LORD your GOD,
with all your heart, mind, soul and strength;
And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments hang
all the Law and the Prophets."
It is so simple that a young child can understand it.
Let us turn to our God, and plead for His Mercy!
